Your project, from idea to presentation

Project Statement

Explain what you plan to make and why it matters. Answer these four questions, then save your statement and turn it in through Canvas. Your statement is a starting point; if your idea changes, explain what changed and why.

Use the name your teacher knows you by.

Give your project a clear working title. You can change it later.

Be specific so there is no confusion about the format: video, poster, slideshow, article, photo series, or something else.

Example: A three-minute documentary video with original footage and voiceover.

Write your Project Statement in two sentences.

  1. What is your project about?
  2. How does your project connect to two Champion Profiles?

Choose from Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Character, and Civic Engagement.

Sentence frame: My project is about ______________________. It connects to the Champion Profiles of __________ and __________ because ______________________.

Example: My project is about how plastic waste affects marine life. It connects to the Champion Profiles of Critical Thinking and Civic Engagement because I researched real environmental data and used my film to inspire others to take action.

Save your statement and turn it in

Save a PDF or download a text copy, then upload it to the Canvas assignment your teacher identifies. Check that Canvas shows your submission.

This page does not send your answers to your teacher. Your answers stay in this tab until you leave or reload it, so save your work before closing.
